Disappointed that the "off-grid" capability is only 13kW, makes the 16kW statement a little bit misleading.

I see the spec sheet is now 4x pages long with a bit more detail. I think within the 1P market it's actually spot on. Most 1P homes have either 60A breaker (so 13200W max) or 63A (so 13860W) - so technically it's "slightly" under what you will be limited by your breakers anyways, but it's a lot better, easier and cheaper than 2x 8kW modules (Which are overkill for 1P anyways).

Only place it would hinder is if you were truly off grid, and were playing with 80A breakers (disconnected from any grids) - in which case 2x 8kW's offer a slight bit more than a single 16kW - but I'm sure those usecases are rare, and probably more…

It’s listed on Herholdts website unsure if stock has landed yet- but seems to be around R60k. That is far cheaper than 2x 8kW’s in parallel, and the video said it includes battery fuses - which saves another couple of grand on large batteries- so this is a very good option- just hope they can bring in enough for demand!
