Any chance of an answer to my question if the newest batteries can be added to existing previous gen ones?

Good day. I had a Sunsynk inverter installed in my house. Our electrical law say we need a earth leakage (EL) in the DB when the inverter is bypassed. My EL has been bypassed by the installer. Please supply me with a wiring diagram to rectify this issue so that the inverter does not trip due to different neutral connections. Regards Andrey

Hi Andrey

A firmware change a few months ago forced the usage of a relay that needs to be wired in by the installer, not difficult, but needs to be done correct and the trigger wires connected, as well as settings (signal island mode) enable, but only once the correct hardware is in place. Keith did three videos on the topic of earth leakage etc, but unfortunately no videos on the process,

as a qualified person needs to do it.

If you don’t have it in place, you will have a floating neutral when in loadshedding, which might cause some tripping, but often not. Best to chat to the electrical engineers about IF this 110V floating can cause damage or…
